Welcome to Red Shed Luxe. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website https://theredshedcandles.com/ (the “Site”) and the purchase of any products from us. By using our Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Red Shed Luxe, and “you” refers to the user or customer.

1. Use of our site

By using this Site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or are accessing the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

2. Products

We make every effort to display our products, colours and descriptions as accurately as possible. However, because our candles and home fragrance are hand-poured, slight variations in colour, texture, scent throw and finish are natural and are not defects. Product images are for illustration and the actual product may vary slightly.

All products are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to discontinue or limit the quantity of any product at any time.

3. Pricing

All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise. Prices in other currencies shown by our currency switcher are approximate conversions for your convenience; your order is processed in NZD.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. While we work hard to ensure pricing is accurate, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel the order.

4. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging that we have received it. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order — a contract is formed only when we dispatch the products.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order that has already been paid for, we will issue a full refund.

5. Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Your payment is processed securely by our third-party payment providers, and we do not store your full card details on our Site.

6. Shipping and delivery

Shipping timeframes, costs and delivery details are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns and refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Workshops and bookings

Where you book a workshop or event with us:

• Payment is required to secure your place.
• Workshop bookings are generally non-refundable but may be transferred or rescheduled if you notify us at least {48 hours} before the scheduled date.
• We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a workshop, in which case you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the workshop fee.

9. Candle and product safety

Our candles and fragrance products are supplied on the condition that you use them safely and follow all safety instructions and warnings provided on the product and packaging, including: never leave a burning candle unattended, keep away from children, pets and flammable materials, place on a heat-resistant surface, and do not burn for longer than recommended. Red Shed Luxe is not liable for any injury, damage or loss resulting from the misuse of, or failure to follow the safety instructions for, our products.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including logos, brand name, text, images, product photography, graphics and design — is the property of Red Shed Luxe or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use any content without our prior written permission.

11. User accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

12. Reviews and user content

If you submit reviews, comments or other content to our Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and reproduce that content in connection with our business. You must not submit content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

13. Third-party links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those websites, and access to them is at your own risk.

14. Consumer rights and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986. Where those Acts apply, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except where those consumer guarantees apply, Red Shed Luxe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or products. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Red Shed Luxe against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or products.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
